Turn ambition into application

We know the 523 program has the potential to change your business, so we want to ensure we’re thorough, thoughtful, and equitable in our selection process. Here’s how we’ll do that.

Who’s eligible to apply?

The 523 program is inclusive by design, so people from every corner of the globe can apply. All we ask is that you demonstrate:

  • Minority ownership*: At least 51% of your company’s ownership should be from one or more underrepresented groups.
  • Revenue/valuation: Your company’s gross revenue in 2021 or over the last 12 months must be less than $5M.
  • Employee size: You’ll need to have less than 20 full-time employees.

We’ll also ask that you agree to comply with our terms and conditions.

What’s the selection process?

We want to keep this as fair as possible, so a team of Snapchat execs will be evaluating all applications against the following criteria:
  • The ability to produce a regular cadence of premium, creative Snapchat Shows
  • Evidence of existing content that can be repurposed for Snapchat
  • Content that must be made-for-mobile and tailored for Snapchat
  • A personal statement providing compelling reasons why your business should be selected
  • Evidence of your company’s overall potential to benefit from the accelerator

What are the key dates?

When it comes to Snapchat content, time is of the essence. It’s all about moving fast and meeting the moment — and we’ll need you to do the same for our application process. Here are the key milestones:
  • December 7, 2021: Applications open
  • February 1, 2022: Applications close
  • March 1, 2022: First 523 program cohort announced
  • April 1, 2022: First 523 program cohort launches

Embrace the opportunity

If you’re as excited about the 523 program as we are, we’d love for you to be a part of it.
